Sutton Stracke agrees RHOBH needed a break after Season 12, revealing in a new interview that she believes the last season got “really, really dark.”
“I think that we had a tough season and it got really, really dark,” she told Us Weekly in a recent interview. “And so maybe it needed to have a minute so that the sun can come in.”
Despite all of that, Sutton explains that she would like to return to RHOBH should Bravo want her back for Season 13. “I hope to come back,” she said. “I feel like I just found my sea legs, and found my voice. So, I would like to use it now and have some more fun. And have more experiences in this arena. I really do like it and would like to continue if they’ll have me.”
Season 12 of RHOBH featured the cast practically split in two after Kathy Hilton and Lisa Rinna’s blowout disagreement in Aspen, Colorado. While the reunion attempted to resolve some of those outstanding issues, it seems that there is still quite a bit of tension among the cast.
Sutton, for her part, seems to be annoyed with Rinna for sharing a meme about the abuse Kathy’s daughter, Paris Hilton, suffered as a teen. “Lisa made a choice that I did not agree with on the social media with Paris Hilton,” she said, updating the magazine on the status of her relationship with Rinna. “And it changed the way I see her. However, I’m a forgiving person, so.”
RHOBH Season 13: Who’s in, and who’s out?
As previously reported, RHOBH is on a “minute break” according to Bravo boss Andy Cohen after a highly-rated yet highly-tumultuous Season 12.
With filming expected to start in the new year, it is unknown who will officially be a part of the cast when the series returns. Sutton Stracke clearly wants to return for RHOBH Season 12 and according to various reports, Erika Jayne and Lisa Rinna may already be locked in. Newbie Diana Jenkins also wants to remain in the mix, despite her being the least likely to be asked back based on viewer opinion.
With ratings as high as they were last year, however, expect to see the rest of the cast including Sutton Stracke, Dorit Kemsley, Crystal Kung Minkoff, Garcelle Beauvais, and Kyle Richards back in some capacity.
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills will return with Season 13 sometime in 2023.
