Garcelle Beauvais Lands ‘The Real’ Co-Host Gig: “She Truly Blew Everyone Away”

But what about RHOBH?

But the new job has RHOBH fans wondering if she is leaving the Bravo reality hit.

Garcelle Beauvais is moving on up! The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star has officially landed her next gig as the newest co-host on talk show The Real.

Insiders close to the talk show tell Variety exclusively that Garcelle has signed on and the RHOBH has confirmed the news on her social media. The new season kicks off on September 21 and she replaces actress Tamera Mowry-Housley, who announced earlier this summer that she was leaving the show after 6 seasons.

In addition to Garcelle, the revamped panel will include Loni Love, Jeannie Mai, and Adrienne Houghton.

Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Garcelle Beauvais has been announced as the newest host of The Real.

“I am thrilled to be joining the dynamic, bold and diverse women on the award-winning talk show The Real,” she said in a statement. “My love for pop culture and news, blended with my natural gift of gab, has always made me gravitate towards a talk show environment. It’s also exciting that it’s happening right after my amazing time joining The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.”

Garcelle “blew them away”

According to another report, the decision to give Garcelle the gig was an easy one as she effortlessly “blew everyone away” during the audition process.

“Garcelle blew them away,” sources told HollywoodLife exclusively about the testing session. “She is such a natural talker that it really was an effortless audition session. She tested against six other women. There were seven women in total. And she truly blew everyone away.”

“All great personalities aren’t natural talkers. She has a definitive opinion and doesn’t mind sharing it,” added the insider. “Whether they were talking about celebrities, parenting, or politics, she was so well-read on every issue.”

But what about RHOBH?

The news that Garcelle Beauvais has signed on as a talk show host should be a real concern for RHOBH fans, as it requires a lot of time and effort and sometimes, the filming schedule may even conflict with Bravo’s.

That said, the show will have wrapped Season 10 by the end of September and with filming most likely not going to resume until the spring, it’s quite possible that her first season on The Real may go unaffected by her Bravo gig. Fingers crossed!

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills airs Wednesdays on Bravo and Slice while the new season of The Real premieres on September 21.
