Former RHOD star Kameron Westcott’s father-in-law Carl Westcott has been embroiled in a legal battle with Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom over a $15 million Santa Barbara estate, according to a shocking new report.
According to the Daily Mail, Carl Westcott, 83, signed a real estate contract to sell his beautiful Santa Barbara, California home while he was recovering from major back surgery. Days later, “when the effects of the painkillers wore off,” Carl rescinded the contract. This apparently didn’t sit well with Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom and their attorneys disregarded his plea and threatened to sue him should he not go through with the sale.
As the outlet reports, it has been three years and the legal situation is now set to go to trial.
Daily Mail obtained Westcott’s legal complaint and in it, he says that he never contacted a broker or spoke about putting the almost 10,000 sq. ft. home on the market. At the time, he was 80 and dealing with the impacts of Huntington’s disease, which he was diagnosed with in 2015. According to the article, “the rare disease attacks areas of the brain that control voluntary movement, with one of the symptoms being dementia.”
Westcott’s condition has worsened since the events of the house transaction and he is not expected to attend the trial because his disease “has left him permanently mentally incapacitated and bedridden.”

When this story first started making the rounds, Bravo fans began to notice a connection to The Real Housewives of Dallas seeing as Carl Westcott is the father of Court Westcott.
Court appeared on Seasons 2 – 5 of RHOD alongside his wife, Kameron Westcott, before the Bravo show was cancelled due to LeeAnne Locken’s racist outbursts.
Kameron, for her part, feuded with newbie Tiffany Moon with the MD later claiming her co-star and her husband were behind vicious online attacks against her. (Carl’s sons, Court and Chart Westcott, both took to Twitter to attack Tiffany amid her feud with Kameron.)
In August of that same year, Bravo revealed the show would not be returning for Season 6.
