E! has canceled The Bradshaw Bunch after Terry Bradshaw was diagnosed with cancer for the second time, reports indicate.
According to TMZ, the network was all set to begin production on Season 3 back in March when Bradshaw let them know about an unspecified medical condition and that he did not believe he would be able to participate in the series. After discussions with the network and production, all sides mutually agreed to end the show after Season 2.
As the gossip outlet points out, E! had not confirmed the show’s status until now.
Back in October, Terry Bradshaw appeared on NFL on Fox and opened up about his health struggles, revealing that doctors discovered a tumor after he had complained of neck pain. According to the interview, Bradshaw was diagnosed with Merkel cell carcinoma, an aggressive form of skin cancer. This is his second cancer diagnosis after it was revealed during Season 2 of The Bradshaw Bunch that he had been dealing with bladder cancer.
As previously reported, The Bradshaw Bunch focused on 4-time SuperBowl champion Terry Bradshaw, his blended family, and life on their massive ranch in Oklahoma and for fans of the famous family, the news that E! has decided to cancel the series ahead of Season 3 has to stink.
In addition to Terry, the series featured his fourth wife Tammy and her daughter Lacey from a previous marriage, as well as Terry’s children Rachel and Erin, also from previous relationships.
According to the TMZ report, Bradshaw is now cancer free so even though E! has decided to cancel the The Bradshaw Bunch and the series will not return for Season 3, the important thing is that he is on the road to recovery.
Our thoughts are with the Bradshaws.
