‘Basketball Wives’ Star Brittish Williams Sentenced To 4 Years In Prison

Basketball Wives, Brittish Williams, sentenced to 4 years in prison, VH1, Basketball Wives Season 11 reboot

Basketball Wives star Brittish Williams has been sentenced to 4 years in prison after pleading guilty to various types of fraud, according to reports.

The reality star was in court today (October 24) requesting leniency in sentencing but it appears that Judge Henry Autrey was not having it, pointing out that Brittish had used her legal situation as a storyline on Season 10. “Not only are you out there for people to watch your entertainment, but also for people to watch you. That’s a big obligation,” he said.

Brittish Williams, for her part, had already plead guilty to various fraud charges and is concerned with being in prison and away from her young daughter. “I knew better, and I did wrong anyway,” she said, calling the separation “heartbreaking.”

According to a write up from the River Front Times, the four-year sentence was “less than the 63 recommended in the pre-sentence investigation report but significantly more than the suggestions of 18 months or even just probation offered by [the prosecution].”

Brittish plead guilty to 15 felonies with the damages in the case being listed at almost $600k.

Basketball Wives reboot

As previously reported on TVDeets.com, Brittish was given the boot ahead of a mini Basketball Wives Season 11 reboot. After appearing as a full time cast member during Season 10 despite her legal situation, Brittish was not asked back for Season 11, which is airing now.

The current iteration airs Mondays on VH1 and stars Evelyn Lozada, Shaunie Henderson, Jennifer Williams, Jackie Christie, Brooke Bailey, Brittany Renner, Vanessa Rider, Jac’Eil Duckworth, and Clayanna Warthen.

The reboot seems to be a hit, recently hitting a combined 1 million viewers in delayed viewing when combined with spinoff Basketball Wives Orlando.
