Ratings: VH1’s ‘Basketball Wives’ Franchise Hits Over 1 Million Viewers With On Demand Viewing

VH1’s Basketball Wives franchise is a hit in the ratings, earning over 1 million viewers once on demand viewing was counted, according to a new release. Basketball Wives Season 11 and Basketball Wives Orlando Season 1 debuted on October 9, with the shows reaching a combined audience of over 1 million viewers after three days of viewing.

According to a report from Deadline, this is a “sizeable audience for the Paramount Global network.”

Going into further detail, Basketball Wives LA—which stars Evelyn Lozada, Shaunie Henderson, Jennifer Williams, Jackie Christie, Brooke Bailey, Brittany Renner, Vanessa Rider, Jac’Eil Duckworth, and Clayanna Warthen—was up 41% in live plus three days ratings to a 0.52 in the P18-49 demographic compared to a 0.37 in live plus same day.

The Season 11 premiere scored about 203,000 total viewers in the 18-49 demo.

The success of LA boosted Basketball Wives Orlando—which features Mehgan James, Ashley Snell, Danielle Miller, Lyndzie Marble, Mackenzie Hyatt, Morgan Bledsoe, Mulan Hernandez, Nique Brown, and Nikki Nicole—with the spinoff growing its audience by about 55% after three days of delayed viewing. The all-new series also managed to retain about 62% of the OG’s demo audience, delivering a 0.34 rating.

According to the Paramount release, the Basketball Wives franchise has also seen success on social media with the premiere earning 2.6M video views, up 90% compared to Season 10. Additionally, Orlando was the number 1 “most social reality series on cable in terms of total interactions.” 

Basketball Wives LA and Basketball Wives Orlando air Mondays on VH1.
