Ashley Darby’s ex-husband Michael has sued her RHOP co-star Candiace Dillard Bassett for defamation and is seeking at least $2 million in damages, according to a shocking new report.
According to TMZ, Michael is suing Candiace for comments she made about his sexuality during RHOP Season 7.
As the gossip outlet reports, Candiace told Ashley “your husband likes to leave you and go to a man named [censored]’s house and suck his ****” and while she never named the man, Michael says in a new filing that the allegations are completely false, revealing that he sent Candiace a cease and desist earlier this year.

According to Michael, Candiace has yet to retract any of her allegations, hence the lawsuit. TMZ reached out to Candiace’s reps for comment before posting the story but there seems to be no response from her side just yet.
As RHOP fans are well aware, Ashley and Candiace have never gotten along with the latter repeatedly bringing up the former’s ex as an insult, including during Season 7. Candiace has been fending off allegations about her own husband Chris Bassett this season (thanks Ashley and Gizelle Bryant!) and has resulted in throwing insults about Michael — who exited RHOP after being accused of inappropriately touching a cameraman just a few seasons ago — in return.
Ashley, for her part, has since divorced Michael.
