Real Housewives of New York City stars Luann De Lesseps and Sonja Morgan have started filming their own RHONY spinoff show in Illinois, according to a local blog.
WFCN News grabbed photos of Luann and Sonja arriving in style at the Benton Municipal Airport, where cameras were rolling as local residents greeted the reality stars, and provided some details on the upcoming project.
According to the blog, the series is set to film for the next “several weeks” and will consist of “several” episodes. Luann and Sonja are just the latest Real Housewives stars to score their own spinoffs, with Porsha Williams leading the resurgence with last year’s Porsha Family Matters, and both Kandi Burruss (Kandi And The Gang) and Karen Huger (Karen’s Grande Dame Reunion) following up with their own spinoffs in recent months.
Another report previously mentioned that Luann and Sonja’s RHONY spinoff show will be in the vein of The Simple Life starring Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie and will follow the two as they compare the differences between city life and country life. As of right now, its unclear whether the show will air on Bravo or Peacock but if we had to guess, this one sounds like it’s coming directly to Bravo.
Luann and Sonja both star on The Real Housewives of New York City, with the network previously revealing the show is going to be split into two shows: Season 14, which will feature an entirely new group of friends and RHONY: Legacy, which will feature a mixture of current and former cast members.
