Luann de Lesseps and Sonja Morgan have not only scored their own spinoff show but both are set to appear on RHONY: Legacy, according to a new report.
Page Six reveals exclusively that NBC has ordered a spinoff show featuring Luann and Sonja travelling the country together, kind of like The Simple Life, the 2000s reality show that starred Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie. According to the report, the show will air on either Bravo or Peacock and will consist of 10 episodes.
While the paperwork is apparently “signed”, it’s important to note that the show hasn’t officially been greenlit and the concept is still evolving, as per the Page Six story.
“Luann and Sonja of course will be their fabulous selves and each episode will have them interacting with the locals,” an insider told the gossip outlet. “They don’t know the locations yet, but it’s going to be somewhere like Kansas or Nebraska, not some hipster Southern town. [Executives] have been holding the locations even from the gals until the last minute.”
In addition to this new spinoff show, Luann and Sonja will reportedly appear on RHONY: Legacy, when and if that show comes to fruition. As previously reported, Bravo is splitting The Real Housewives of New York City into two shows: Legacy, featuring a mix of former cast members and Season 14, which will consist of an entirely new—and diverse—friend group. In addition to Luann and Sonja, Season 13 starred Ramona Singer, Leah McSweeney, and new Housewife Eboni K. Williams.

Both series are expected to start filming this fall, with this new spinoff show starting production in July.
If true, this new spinoff would be the latest in a series of shows given to stars of The Real Housewives franchise. Porsha Williams dominated the ratings with Porsha’s Family Matters last fall, Kandi Burruss introduced viewers to her restaurant staff with Kandi And The Gang, and Karen Huger kept us laughing with Karen’s Grande Dame Reunion just a few weeks ago. The spinoffs are all part of NBC’s big plan to monetize the franchise and keep it relevant year-round.
