Andy Cohen has addressed Ramona Singer’s exit from RHONY for the first time.

Taking to his Andy Cohen Live radio show on SiriusXM, the Bravo boss opened up about Ramona leaving the franchise after 13 seasons. “I think people saw that coming,” he chuckled.

“It’s interesting… one of those hilarious things of the internet is, which is, every time it was mentioned it was ‘Please no Ramona.’ You go on Twitter: ‘Get rid of Ramona! No Ramona!'”

He continued, “The second Ramona announces she’s leaving… ‘No! Ramona is a legend!’ Like, it’s so funny. Anyway, Ramona gave us an incredible, incredible, incredible years of television.”

In true Andy fashion, he says he spoke with Ramona about her exit from the franchise before it hit the press. “I had a great conversation with her about this a few weeks ago, and she was, I think she’s very bullish on what she has going on in her life right now,” he teased. “I will say — let me say that — I’m going to leave it there.”

RHONY Legacy cast revealed

Andy’s comments come as the RHONY Legacy cast has reportedly been set. According to recent reports, LuAnn de Lesseps, Sonja Morgan, Jill Zarin, Dorinda Medley, and Kelly Bensimon are signed on for the upcoming spinoff, with two additional as-of-yet-unknown cast members reportedly in the mix.

In a somewhat surprising move, Ramona was left off the list and has since confirmed she will not be returning to the franchise. LuAnn and Sonja, for their part, are also set to star in their own upcoming spinoff.

As previously reported, the RHONY Legacy show will see a mix of former and current cast members reunite. It is expected to have a slightly different format than the regular show and will reportedly consist of less episodes, too.

Lizzy Savetsky quits RHONY reboot

Lizzy Savetsky has confirmed that she will not be a part of the RHONY Season 14 reboot when it debuts on Bravo next year.

Despite Page Six’s earlier reporting that Lizzy would be at the centre of The Real Housewives of New York City, that appears to not be the case as the rumoured star herself took to Instagram to detail her decision to leave the series.

“I will not be continuing on The Real Housewives of NYC,” she shared on Instagram. “As a proud orthodox Jewish woman, I thought participating in this series would be a great chance to represent people like me and share my experience.”

She continued, “Unfortunately, from the time of my announcement in the cast, I was on the receiving end of a torrent of antisemitic attacks. As this continued, I realized that this path was no longer right for me and my family. I’m looking forward to my next chapter. Stay tuned — and thank you for your support!”

Bravo also confirmed the news in a statement obtained by Page Six: “After thoughtful consideration and discussion with Lizzy, we have reached the mutual conclusion that Lizzy will not be a cast member on RHONY.”

Seeing as the cast for Legacy is still being decided, it looks like Bravo wants to get filming on the reboot finished before moving forward with the OG cast.
