Lizzy Savetsky Confirms Exit From ‘RHONY’ Season 14 Reboot

The rumoured new Housewife says antisemitism from fans led her to re-evaluate her participation in the series.

Lizzy Savetsky has confirmed that she will not be a part of the RHONY Season 14 reboot when it debuts on Bravo next year.

Despite Page Six’s earlier reporting that Lizzy would be at the centre of The Real Housewives of New York City, that appears to not be the case as the rumoured star herself took to Instagram to detail her decision to leave the series.

“I will not be continuing on The Real Housewives of NYC,” she shared on Instagram. “As a proud orthodox Jewish woman, I thought participating in this series would be a great chance to represent people like me and share my experience.”

She continued, “Unfortunately, from the time of my announcement in the cast, I was on the receiving end of a torrent of antisemitic attacks. As this continued, I realized that this path was no longer right for me and my family. I’m looking forward to my next chapter. Stay tuned — and thank you for your support!”

Bravo also confirmed the news in a statement obtained by Page Six: “After thoughtful consideration and discussion with Lizzy, we have reached the mutual conclusion that Lizzy will not be a cast member on RHONY.”

Missing from BravoCon

While it is absolutely horrible to hear that this has been Lizzy’s experience with the Real Housewives franchise, there could be more to uncover about the decision to remove her from the RHONY Season 14 reboot cast.

Lizzy was one of the first names leaked to the press but was surprisingly missing from the BravoCon cast announcement, which is when fans first began questioning whether she was actually a part of the show. At the time, insiders confirmed that she would be appearing on the reboot but had missed the festivities due to religious regions. Some fans also took issue with Lizzy’s pro-Israel stance, noting that she has “Zionist” in her bio on social media.

Bravo fans were already somewhat familiar with Lizzy, adding to the complicated nature of her casting. A few years ago, she was reportedly set to join The Real Housewives of Dallas as part of a reboot for that Bravo series, before the network decided to pass. At the time, Lizzy was living in Dallas but had moved back to her native NYC for the RHONY reboot.

RHONY: Legacy series in the works

In addition to RHONY Season 14, Bravo is also working on a RHONY: Legacy series featuring a mix of former cast members. According to new reports, the spinoff is set to feature LuAnn de Lesseps, Sonja Morgan, Dorinda Medley, Jill Zarin, and Kelly Bensimon with producers reportedly looking to add two additional women to the cast.

Seeing as the cast for Legacy is still being decided, it looks like Bravo wants to get filming on the reboot finished before moving forward with the OG cast.

When will RHONY Season 14 premiere?

Despite Lizzy Savetsky exiting the reboot, filming on RHONY Season 14 is reportedly moving along with Sai De Silva, Ubah Hassan, Erin Dana Lichy, Jessel Taank, Jenna Lyons and Brynn Whitfield recently embarking on their first cast trip together. It is not yet clear whether Bravo is planning on replacing Lizzy or keeping the cast as is.

If all goes to plan, RHONY should be back on our screens by mid-2023.
