‘RHOA’ Fans Upset With Production For Editing Out Cynthia Bailey

Some RHOA fans are upset with production for editing out former Housewife Cynthia Bailey from last night’s episode.

Cynthia Bailey’s appearance on RHOA Season 15 had been teased since Bravo dropped the trailer, showing her at Kenya Moore’s commercial taping for Kenya Moore Hair Care. Well, that scene was featured in the July 9th episode and Cynthia was no where to be seen.

As soon as Kenya’s scene aired, numerous Bravo fans took to Twitter to call out production for editing out Cynthia.

“So they just edited this out? Cool,” posted one popular Bravo fanpage.

“Now I know they DID NOT cut out Cynthia’s return in this scene with Kenya,” shared The Peach Report.

The editing issue even made its way to Kenya Moore, who quote tweeted The Peach Report’s post to share that she too is seemingly disappointed by production’s decision to edit out Cynthia from RHOA Season 15.

“WOW,” she shared.

RHOA production edits out NeNe Leakes

While it is normal for production to have to be choosy when piecing together a show like The Real Housewives of Atlanta, this is the second time so far this season that production has been called out by fans and viewers of the show.

As previously reported, fans previously called out production for removing NeNe Leakes from a flashback featured in the June 11 episode of RHOA.

In that instance, production flashed backed to 2011 to showcase the evolution (or destruction) of Kandi Burruss Tucker’s relationship with Marlo Hampton and used previous show intros to highlight just how long this feud has been going on for. The only problem? They removed Ms. NeNe Leakes from the Season 4 intro, creating a WTF moment for most viewers and longtime fans of the show.

The decision to shadily remove NeNe from the episode, despite the fact that she previously sued NBCUniversal, Truly Original, and Andy Cohen for fostering a racist work environment, did not seem to land well with fans and NeNe herself later said it was probably done to drum up interest — and ratings — and it is possible that is the case with Cynthia’s removal. (Peacock, NBC’s streaming service, later re-edited the episode to remove any shadiness towards NeNe before it was uploaded.)

Cynthia, for her part, is also set to appear on the upcoming season of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills after filming with Sutton Stracke but after seeing how things ended up with RHOA, it’s possible that is just wishful thinking on the part of fans.

Bravo and Truly Original haven’t responded to viewer comments surrounding last night’s episode and unlike the NeNe incident, don’t expect any last minute re-edits to include Cynthia.

The Real Housewives of Atlanta airs Sundays on Bravo.
