Ratings: ‘RHOSLC’ Takes A Hit Following Jennie Nguyen Controversy

Fans are tuning out as Jennie remains a part of the cast.

Bravo’s RHOSLC took a hit in the ratings following last week’s Jennie Nguyen controversy.

The Sunday, January 23 episode of The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City earned a 0.23 in the P18-49 demo and just 694,000 viewers, down considerably from the week prior. The January 16th episode was a season high scoring a 0.31 and 837,000 viewers, meaning the show suffered a drop of almost 200K live viewers.

Despite the big drop, this still isn’t RHOSLC’s lowest-rated episode of the season. Six other episodes this season have all scored less than this week’s 694K but it is the show’s lowest-rated episode in the demo since the October 31st episode which earned a 0.18 and 563,000 viewers.

While most Bravo shows grow considerably once DVR views are taken into account, this drop is surely one that will make the network take notice amid calls for Jennie to be fired from RHOSLC over her racist Facebook posts. As of now, the show is choosing to stand by Jennie and is currently filming with her as part of Season 3.
