Bravo’s RHONJ surged in the reality TV ratings on Tuesday night, earning a Season 12 high in viewers at the same time.

The April 5th episode scored a 0.31 in the P18-49 demo and 1,108,000 viewers, according to just-released Nielsen numbers. This is the highest demo since March 15 (0.31/1,035,000) and the largest audience of the season so far, beating out the Season 12 premiere back on February 1 (0.35/1,099,000). The episode was the third highest-rated show of the night on cable, landing only behind The Curse of Oak Island on History and the NBA game on ESPN.

The RHONJ ratings success comes after another Bravo show also scored a season high this week, with Below Deck Sailing Yacht earning its largest audience of Season 3 on Monday, April 4 (0.37/1,105,000). The two shows are currently battling it out for the highest-rated show on Bravo.

If you wanted to compare the Real Housewives cities currently on the air, RHONJ is clearly beating RHOC at the moment and it is also rating higher than the recently-aired RHOSLC Season 2.

While it is true that most Bravo shows grow in the ratings once DVR views are counted in, it is still important to recognize when a show hits great live numbers as those are what are still considered most important to advertisers. (Bravo, like many other networks, are attempting to lobby ratings company Nielsen to incorporate more streaming and delayed views, but no major updates to the system are set for this year.)

The Real Housewives of New Jersey airs Tuesdays on Bravo.
