Joi Carter and Clifton Pettie from Ready To Love have been added to the Season 2 cast of Love & Marriage DC, according to a new report.
The couple, who appeared on the Potomac-based Season 5 of the OWN reality dating series, have been busy filming with the LAMDC cast over the last few weeks, TV Deets can confirm. (theJasmineBrand was first to report news of Joi and Clifton’s casting.)
Love & Marriage: DC Season 2: Who’s in, and who’s out?
As previously reported, Love & Marriage: DC is going through a bit of a reboot with Chris and Monique Samuels exiting the spinoff ahead of Season 2.
Returning for LAMDC Season 2 are couples DJ QuickSilva and Ashley Silva, and Jamie and Erana Tyler. Winter Williams, who was introduced to the cast via Monique, will also be returning while part-time cast members Neil and Tasha Lyons will not be back.
Joi and Clifton are not the only new couple joining the show, however, with sources telling TV Deets EXCLUSIVELY that Alfred and Sherrell Duncan have also been added to the cast.
According to our insiders, Joi and Clifton are set to be friends of the show, while Alfred and Sherrell are likely to land full-time spots. Joi is being introduced through Erana, whereas viewers will meet Sherrell through Ashley.
Our exclusive report from November 27 revealed Sherrell’s casting and we can now confirm Joi was the “one other new cast member” referenced at that time.
Love & Marriage: DC is the first spinoff in what is now a Love & Marriage franchise with Huntsville currently in the middle of airing Season 5. The franchise follows successful and entrepreneurial Black couples and was created by former Real Housewives producer Carlos King.
As regular readers of this website know, TV Deets was first to report news of the DC spinoff’s existence — and the entire Season 1 cast — ahead of the start of production back in December 2021.
Season 2 of Love & Marriage: DC is currently filming and will premiere this January on OWN.
