OWN Orders ‘Love & Marriage: DMV’ Starring ‘RHOP’s Monique Samuels (EXCLUSIVE)

Meet the cast of the D.C. area-set show.

OWN has ordered Love & Marriage: DMV starring RHOP’s Monique Samuels, sources tell TV Deets exclusively.

Monique, who is known to fans of reality TV after starring on four seasons of Bravo’s Real Housewives of Potomac, is moving on from her former friends and has found a new group of sure-to-be big personalities to surround herself with in OWN’s Love & Marriage: DMV.

With DMV being short for D.C., Maryland, and Virginia, LAMDMV will see the cast hopping around the area as viewers are introduced to their businesses and families. It is the second show in what is now a Love & Marriage franchise, with the original series Love & Marriage: Huntsville recently wrapping a very successful third season.

Not only will Monique and her husband Chris Samuels be starring on the show but she is actually responsible for forming the new group of friends in the first place. Joining Monique for Season 1 are Erana and James Tyler, Ashley Brittney and Roberto Silva, and Tasha and Neil Lyons, sources close to production confirm exclusively to TV Deets.

Former stars of Bravo’s Real Housewives of Potomac, Monique is now at the centre of the D.C. area-group. Much like her storyline on RHOP, LAMDMV is set to focus on the couple’s marriage, family, and businesses.

Erana and James Tyler

Described as entrepreneurs, Erana and James are expected to bring the drama. In addition to a busy family life, the two always make time to hit the D.C. party scene and are involved in credit consulting, real estate, and run an online women’s clothing store called iVision Boutique.

Tasha and Neil are two parts of the mother-father-daughter real estate team The Lyons Den Group, a real estate firm serving both D.C. and Maryland. Tasha is also a celebrity hair stylist and has worked with Monique in the past.

In addition to hosting a podcast called Fun Times Moms, Ashley is a serial “mompreneur”, author, and runs an online children’s store called Fashion Ashton. Her husband, Roberto, is better known as DJ Quicksilva, host of the Quick Silva Show on 93.9 WKYS FM in Washington, D.C.

According to a source close to production, LAMDMV officially begins filming in January and is from Kingdom Reign Entertainment, the production company led by Carlos King that is also behind LAMH. Bravo fans will remember King as a former executive producer of The Real Housewives of Atlanta.

We hear that some of Monique’s new friends have been asked to join RHOP in the past but have turned down a spot on the Bravo show for various reasons. Sources close to that show tell TV Deets that the Housewives are aware of Monique’s new show, with some even laughing off the news. Stay shady, Potomac!

Love & Marriage: Huntsville has become a big hit for OWN and features the personal and professional lives of three influential African-American couples as they revitalize Huntsville, Alabama, and Love & Marriage DMV is expected to follow the same successful format.

Love & Marriage: Huntsville Season 4 and Love & Marriage Season 1 are both expected to premiere in 2022.
