Monique Samuels has quit The Real Housewives of Potomac, according to the Bravolebrity herself.
Monique took to Instagram Live following last night’s RHOP Reunion Part 3 to chat with viewers about the drama and in the conversation, she revealed that she will not be returning to the series after her physical altercation with Candiace Dillard.
Responding to what viewers were saying in the chat, Monique shared a little bit about how she was feeling now that the season is over. “It was very draining to watch that, very draining,” she said of the final part of the RHOP reunion which saw her go head-to-head against Gizelle Bryant and Candiace Dillard.
“A lot of people don’t realize I’m a binder person. Like, I literally have so many binders in my house,” she explained of her now-iconic yellow binder. “That’s just my thing so I didn’t realize people were so into it, but I’m just old school with it.”
After joking around with fans, things got a bit more serious when Monique finally revealed that despite receiving her contract from Bravo that she would not be returning for Season 6.
Monique Samuels (far right) has quit The Real Housewives of Potomac ahead of Season 6 but the rest of the cast are reportedly set to return.
“Like I said, I’m over it. I’m over it,” she said. “Love y’all! Appreciate everything, but I’m over it. When the hate becomes real, I’m over it.”
She continued, “Thank god that my husband and are in a position where we don’t really need for anything. I’m blessed, I’m grateful, and that’s not me bragging, that’s me just being all the way one hundred.”
On last night’s RHOP Reunion, Monique and her husband Chris Samuels attempted to get the rest of the Housewives — and host Andy Cohen himself — to recognize the pain that has been caused to their family after Gizelle floated rumours about the paternity of their youngest child together but it seemed to fall on deaf ears.
Monique seemed to address that very fact in her Instagram Live, implying that she and Chris would feel guilty for continuing to participate.
“If all of my kids were to get older and say they watched everything or they watched all of these things that are happening behind the scenes, what response can I give them? What would satisfy that?”

If Monique’s departure from RHOP turns out to be true, she will be just the latest big-name Housewife to leave the franchise in recent months following the exits of Denise Richards on RHOBH, NeNe Leakes on RHOA, and Dorinda Medley on RHONY.
The Real Housewives of Potomac has already been renewed for Season 6 by Bravo and will return in 2021.
