Dorothy Wang and Mimi Morris are officially joining the Bling Empire Season 2 cast.
According to a brand-new Netflix press release, Season 2 of the popular reality series will drop on the streaming service on Friday, May 13, with some familiar faces joining for round two.
As previously reported, former RichKids of Beverly Hills star Dorothy Wang is joining Season 2 before heading to her own yet-to-be-announced NYC-based spinoff. Businesswoman Mimi Morris is also joining the group as a new friend this season.
Who is Dorothy Wang?
Dorothy appeared on four seasons of the hit E! reality show RichKids of Beverly Hills and is making a return to reality TV with Bling Empire. “Born and raised in Beverly Hills, Dorothy’s Chinese-born mother and father moved from Taiwan to the United States for graduate school,” according to her Netflix bio.
“Her father, Roger Wang, quickly built a successful real estate business and always instilled in Dorothy and her sister the importance of hard work, family values, and giving back to the community.”
Who is Mimi Morris?
Mimi is listed as an entrepreneur, married to businessman Donald Morris, with whom she has three children. She comes from humble beginnings, with Netflix teasing quite the origin story.
“At the height of the war, at the age of seven, Mimi and her seven brothers and sisters were unable to flee their village to find safety, so instead spent two years living in a large hole in the ground, with scant food or water,” the network reveals.
It also sounds like Mimi Morris won’t be afraid to bring the drama on Bling Empire, with Netflix promising she isn’t to be messed with. “At first blush, Mimi comes off light-hearted, witty, and joyful—but don’t let her delightful demeanor fool you. Nothing gets past her.”
Bling Empire Season 2 cast
In addition to Dorothy and Mimi, Kevin Kreider, Kim Lee, Cherie Chan, Jessey Lee, Kane Lim, Christine Chiu and Anna Shay are all set to return for Season 2. Previously, Cherie and Jessey had teased that they would not be returning for another round but it looks like Netflix was able to work out a deal they were happy with.
Bling Empire heads to New York City
Netflix is attempting a Bling Empire franchise in addition to the Season 2 news. According to insiders, Dorothy Wang is set to head up an NYC-based spinoff of the reality series, with the working title Bling Empire: New York City. It was filmed from January to April of this year and is set to feature Dorothy and her closest, most fabulous (and wealthy!) friends.
When does Bling Empire Season 2 premiere?
According to Netflix, Season 2 of Bling Empire drops on Friday, May 13, 2022.
