Christine Quinn Skips First-Ever ‘Selling Sunset’ Reunion Taping

Is there even a point of having a reunion without the star of the show?

Christine Quinn will not appear on the first-ever Selling Sunset reunion, her rep has revealed.

The cast gathered to tape the Selling Sunset Season 5 reunion just yesterday (April 24) in Los Angeles but Christine will be missing from the action when the reunion special debuts on Friday, May 6. According to her rep, Christine contracted COVID-19 and was therefore unable to film the reunion special.

“Christine tested positive for COVID and out of abundance of caution for the cast and crew, she did not attend the reunion,” her rep explained to Us Weekly. “Producers offered her the opportunity to video chat, but she declined because she wasn’t feeling well enough to do it.”

The rest of the cast — including Vanessa Villela, Emma Hernan, Mary Fitzgerald, Chrishell Stause, newbie Chelsea Lazkani, Heather Rae Young, and Maya Vander — did tape the reunion special and were photographed looking very Real Housewives-y together on two couches with host Tan France smack dab in the middle.

Amanza Smith also tested positive for COVID-19 and did decide to tape her segment via video chat, according to the Us Weekly report.

While production was aware about Amanza, they were apparently unaware about Christine until the very last minute, making an appearance unattainable. “Producers were scrambling with the positive COVID test result news for Christine,” an insider tells the gossip outlet. “The video chat option was a last-minute offer.”

News of Christine Quinn missing the Selling Sunset reunion comes after a dramatic Season 5 that saw her facing off once against her Oppenheim Group co-workers. While she seemed to be making strides towards the end of the season, Emma Hernan through a wrench in that plan by revealing to Mary Fitzgerald and Jason Oppenheim that Christine had allegedly offered one of Emma’s clients $5,000 not to work with her.

Christine, for her part, denied ever bribing one of Emma’s clients, and the Season 5 reunion taping was to be the first time the group would have discussed the issue.

Selling Sunset Season 5 is now streaming on Netflix and the reunion special is set to premiere on Friday, May 6.
