1Magic has dropped the first trailer for Season 1 of The Real Housewives of Gqeberha and it is everything, to say the least.
As previously reported, The Real Housewives of Gqeberha (also known as RHOGQ) will be the fifth Real Housewives franchise out of South Africa following Johannesburg, Durban, Cape Town, and Pretoria.

Check out the trailer for Season 1 of The Real Housewives of Gqeberha, below.
With the release of the trailer, it is now confirmed that the series could be very popular internationally as some of the dialog is spoken in English and there are also subtitles across some of the scenes.
The Real Housewives of Pretoria — which recently wrapped its first season — is the first South African series not to be in English, somewhat hurting its ability to grow a large international audience. Hopefully this new city ends up on international streaming services like Hayu, too, so that all Housewives fans can enjoy the sure-to-be juicy drama.
Where is Gqeberha?
Gqeberha, formerly known as Port Elizabeth, is a city located on Algoa Bay in South Africa’s beautiful Eastern Cape Province. According to a quick Google search, the city is a major port and also known for its numerous beaches.
The Season 1 cast of The Real Housewives of Gqeberha will include Norma Nicol, Buli G Ngomane, Liz Prins, Unathi Faku and Ashleigh Mather, with the network promising that additional cast members are still to be announced.
When does RHOGQ premiere?
Season 1 of RHOGQ premieres Friday, February 3 on 1Magic (DStv 103) at 20:30 local time.
Can I watch RHOGQ internationally?
While some of the other South African franchises have aired on Bravo and are available on streaming services like Hayu, no international premiere date has been announced for RHOGQ.
