VH1 is doubling down on RuPaul, renewing RuPaul’s Drag Race, RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars, and companion series Untucked for new seasons.
The network has commissioned Drag Race Season 13 and All Stars Season 6, set to premiere sometime in 2021, according to Deadline.
The RuPaul’s Drag Race franchise has been renewed, with new seasons set to premiere in 2021.
Drag Race and Untucked have been performing strongly in the ratings for the network, so it is no surprise that the higher-ups would want to order more. All of the shows are produced by VH1 and production company World of Wonder.
In addition to the show’s success stateside, Canada’s Drag Race is currently airing its first season on Crave and Logo TV, and Drag Race UK launched last year to rave reviews. (BBCThree has reportedly renewed that show for a second season set to debut later this year.)
Plus, the production company reportedly has numerous other international versions of the drag competition series in the works worldwide, so there should be no shortage of drama, fashion, and lip-syncs in the coming years.
Drag Race Vegas Revue, another spinoff which sees some of the franchise stars heading to Las Vegas, premieres tonight at 8/8c on VH1.
