‘Selling Sunset’ Spinoff In Miami? Maya Vander Teases Potential Oppenheim Group Expansion

Selling Sunset Season 3 dropped on Netflix worldwide today and ahead of the show’s release, star Maya Vander opened up about her experience filming the show and the potential of a spinoff set in Miami.

On the first two seasons of the Netflix reality hit, Maya was seen coming back-and-forth and in a new interview with Page Six, she reveals that she doesn’t actually work full-time for the Oppenheim Group, the brokerage at the centre of the show, anymore.

“I technically moved back [to Los Angeles] to film the show … and it’s been challenging,” she revealed. “First season I was flying every weekend back and forth. I was pregnant with my first baby and that was doable. Second season, I really lived in LA for a couple of months and my husband was doing the back and forth.”

“Now I had second baby and I’m in Miami, I’m quarantined here,” she continued. “And I’m going to focus more on real estate in Miami and, you know, maybe discussing opportunities which you might see in Season 3. I don’t know if they’re going to show it or not, possibly even doing Oppenheim Group in Miami.”

Adding that nothing official is in the works and that the Oppenheim Group hasn’t yet expanded outside of Los Angeles, Maya Vander thinks it could work.

“I think there is a market for it in Miami,” she dished. “That would be great for me to be associated with such a luxurious brand in Miami, in Florida. But, you know, it’s just an idea for now. And we’ll see how it goes.”

Selling Sunset is the best reality show to drop on Netflix in recent years and with the show growing in popularity, it actually may make sense for the show to be expanded to a new city.

Miami has been featured on many reality shows and real estate shows in the past but with nothing really on the air now, and a killer cast, Selling Sunset Miami may just be the next big hit.
