RHOM is finally coming to Canada as Slice has set a premiere date for Season 5, months after the new season dropped on Peacock in the U.S.
Season 5 of The Real Housewives of Miami will premiere Thursday, March 9th at 9pm ET/PT on Slice, the network has revealed. The series will also be a part of streaming service STACK TV, which can be added as a channel through Prime Video.
The new season of Peacock’s RHOM debuted December 8th in the U.S. and features Guerdy Abraira, Lisa Hochstein, Julia Lemigova, Dr. Nicole Martin, Alexia Nepola and Larsa Pippen, with Kiki Barth, Adriana de Moura and Marysol Patton serving as Friends of the Housewives. When it was revealed back in December that RHOM Season 5 wouldn’t be premiering in Canada until sometime in 2023, fans were understandably upset.
“Slice will air The Real Housewives of Miami in 2023,” a spokesperson for Corus Entertainment told TV Deets in a statement at the time. Meanwhile, Hayu Canada provided some additional context, revealing that their service too would be waiting to launch RHOM Season 5.
“The majority of The Real Housewives franchises are available to stream on Hayu in Canada the same day as the USA broadcast. In this instance, the premiere date of The Real Housewives of Miami Season Five, has been pushed back due to market nuisances,” a representative for Hayu Canada stated. “However, the heat of The Real Housewives Miami will return to Canada when the latest season is available to stream from March 2023 on Hayu.”
As of press time, Hayu Canada has not yet announced a premiere date for RHOM but thankfully, the season will be available via traditional broadcast TV. Peacock, for their part, did not respond to our request for comment.
New episodes of The Real Housewives of Miami drop Thursdays on Peacock in the U.S., with the series set to premiere Thursday, March 9th in Canada.
