Ratings: MTV’s ‘Real Friends Of WeHo’ Wraps Season 1 At The Same Place It Started

MTV The Real Friends Of WeHo Season 1 Ratings TV Deets

MTV’s The Real Friends Of WeHo wrapped Season 1 in the ratings at pretty much the same place it started, according to just-released numbers.

Episode 6, which served as the Season 1 finale for the new MTV reality series, earned a 0.05 share and 185,000 live viewers, according to Showbuzz Daily. For reference, Real Friends Of WeHo’s Season 1 premiere earned a 0.06 in the P18-49 demo and 186,000 live viewers back in January.

The lowest-rated episode of Season 1 is Episode 4 which earned a dismal 0.03 in the demo and just 130,000 live viewers on February 10th while the highest-rated episode in overall viewers is Episode 5 with a 0.07 and 189,000 viewers.

Real Friends Of WeHo follows a group of loosely-connected friends in the LGBTQ+ community in West Hollywood, Los Angeles. Thereality series has not had the easiest launch, with the show immediately receiving backlash upon announcement due to casting troubled star Todrick Hall. In addition, MTV — which is the new home for RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 15 — has changed the episodes to 60 minutes from 90 to accomodate The Real Friends Of WeHo.

RuPaul’s Drag Race Untucked, which is supposed to be an after show for Drag Race, has been airing after #RealFriendsOfWeHo instead of directly following the main show like in every previous season. Recently, MTV announced that Drag Race episodes would be going back to 90 minutes, presumably after The Real Friends Of WeHo wraps Season 1.

The newbie has definitely impacted ratings for Untucked, with this week’s episode logging a season low after WeHo. It will be interesting to watch those ratings with next week’s episode considering there will be no WeHo sandwiched between the two Drag Race shows.

The Real Friends Of WeHo aired Fridays on MTV and all episodes are now available to stream on MTV.com.
