Paramount+ has renewed RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars for Season 8, the streaming service has confirmed.
According to a TV Line exclusive, Season 8 of RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars has been ordered, as has a new season of companion show Untucked. The report did not specify a premiere date for the new seasons but you can expect them sometime in 2023.
All Stars 7 was the first season to feature all winners and is credited with being the most-watched original series on Paramount+ at the time of its premiere. Whomever is cast on All Stars 8 will have the potential to join the Drag Race Hall of Fame alongside Chad Michaels, Alaska, Trixie Mattel, Monét X Change and Trinity the Tuck, Shea Coulée, and Jinx Monsoon.
As previously reported, RuPaul’s Drag Race has also been renewed for Season 15 over at VH1.
The series is hosted by famous drag queen Rupaul Charles and sees everyday drag queens compete against each other for the coveted title of America’s Next Drag Race Superstar, along with a cash prize, while All Stars features contestants who have already appeared on Drag Race.
After originally debuting on Logo almost a decade ago, the show was moved to VH1 where it saw enormous success and some versions now air on Paramount+. The series has since spawned numerous international spinoffs.
