Kroy Biermann thinks his estranged wife Kim Zolciak Biermann will use RHOA for “attention” amid their heated divorce, according to a new report.
According to court documents obtained by Radar Online, Kroy has asked the judge overseeing the divorce case to appoint a Guardian ad Litem to look after the children’s interests. (The couple share four young children together and Kroy is also the adoptive father to Kim’s daughters Arianna and Brielle.)
Kim recently posted a photo teasing her return to The Real Housewives of Atlanta for Season 15 and that seems to be of concern to Kroy.
“Based on previous experience, [Kroy] is concerned that [Kim] will use the television show to garner attention by discussing the divorce and exposing the children to behavior that would be great for TV ratings, but not for the mental health and wellbeing of the children,” reads the motion filed by Kroy’s legal team, according to Radar.
Heated divorce
As previously reported, Kim Zolciak and Kroy Biermann mutually filed for divorce in recent weeks as the couple made headlines for reportedly owing over $1 million to the IRS. According to another report, Kroy is accusing Kim of punching him in the head during a heated argument.
Page Six has obtained an Atlanta-area police report dated May 4th that shows two Milton Police Department officers responded to Kim and Kroy’s Georgia home after Zolciak had called to report a domestic dispute. According to the report, the former Real Housewives of Atlanta star told the police that Kroy had locked her designer purses, jewelry and passport away in a safe and had then hid the key from her. The items are reportedly premarital assets totalling at least $175,000 USD.
Kroy, however, told the police that the property belongs to both of them and that he was selling the items due to the huge gambling debts Kim has reportedly accrued. He also claimed to police at the time that the duo were contemplating divorce.
After returning some of the items, Kroy revealed that Kim had allegedly punched him in the back of the head amid the dispute but he did not have visible injuries and declined medical attention. According to the gossip outlet, Kroy has a recording of the encounter and has declined to press charges.
The former RHOA star and her husband are divorcing amid news they owe at least $1 million USD to the IRS. The couple were married for over 11 years and listed irreconcilable differences as the reason for the split with Kim reportedly asking for primary physical custody of the kids and joint legal custody, as well as seeking spousal support from the former NFL star. She also wants the court to legally restore her maiden name.
While she won’t be returning as a full-time Housewife, Kim Zolciak will be seen on Season 15 of The Real Housewives of Atlanta and was featured in the trailer after filming a scene with fellow OGs Shereé Whitfield, Lisa Wu, and DeShawn Snow. This is also the photo Kroy seemed to be referencing in these newly-filed legal docs.
