Original cast member Heather Rae El Moussa has revealed that she has not been asked back for Selling Sunset Season 7 weeks before Season 6 is set to be released, according to reports.
Speaking to E! News last week (Wednesday, March 29), Heather revealed that production has not invited her to participate on Season 7 of Selling Sunset.
“Season 6 is coming out soon. I don’t think they’ve announced the air date, but soon you guys will find out,” she told hosts Adrienne Bailon and Keltie Knight, according to a write up from PEOPLE. “Season 7 is filming right now, but I’ve been off maternity leave and I’ve been excited to get back to work and so far I have not been called back.”
When Bailon asked about how she felt not to be asked back, Heather admitted she is confused by Netflix’s apparent decision. “It’s been a little frustrating. So [I’m] not sure what’s been going on,” she responded.
Already renewed for Season 7
While Netflix has not yet announced a premiere date for Selling Sunset Season 6, the show will drop in the next few weeks and as TV Deets reported EXCLUSIVELY months ago, the cast has already received contracts for Season 7 meaning it’s possible Heather has known she is on the outs for a while.
“According to a source close to production, the entire cast have been sent contracts for Seasons 6 and 7 and are currently negotiating deals to return — but that does not necessarily mean that everyone will,” TV Deets reported in January 2022.
As previously reported, there will be some new faces when Selling Sunset does end up returning for the already-filmed Season 6. Model Bre Tiesi, also known as one of Nick Cannon’s baby mamas, is set to star alongside newbie Nicole Young, who has worked at the Oppenheim Group for years.
Selling Sunset will return with Season 6 in the coming weeks.
