The Selling Sunset cast have received their contracts for Seasons 6 and 7 of the Netflix real estate reality series, sources confirm EXCLUSIVELY to TV Deets.
Earlier this week, news broke that Netflix had renewed Selling Sunset for TWO more seasons despite Season 5 not yet having a premiere date and not only is that true but as of right now, there is no telling who will return for the new seasons. (The entire cast was not necessarily aware about the renewal news before it broke in the media, insiders tell TV Deets.)
According to a source close to production, the entire cast have been sent contracts for Seasons 6 and 7 and are currently negotiating deals to return — but that does not necessarily mean that everyone will.
As fans of the show are well aware, Season 4 featured quite the divide within the Oppenheim Group with breakout star Christine Quinn on one side and Chrishell Stause, Mary Fitzgerald, Heather Rae El Moussa and newcomer Emma Hernan on the other, meaning that negotiations on Seasons 6 and 7 should be interesting for those involved. All are set to return for the yet-to-be announced Season 5, however.
With interest in the original series and cast at an all-time high and Selling Tampa gaining traction, it only makes sense that Netflix would want all of the Season 4 participants to return for Season 6, especially since filming on Season 5 is already complete.
Plus, the streaming service is currently in production on Selling The OC, a new spinoff expected to feature at least a few familiar faces from the Oppenheim Group. There is a reason “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it” is such a popular phrase, after all.
