Garcelle Beauvais claims Kyle Richards is “hanging in there” after splitting from Mauricio Umansky, according to a new interview.
The RHOBH star made the comments to Page Six on the red carpet of the new Netflix show Survival of the Thickest, explaining that she did reach out to Kyle once she heard the shocking news. “I just texted her and said, ‘[Are you] OK?’ And she replied — I didn’t expect a reply for days — but she just said she’s hanging in there,” Garcelle told the gossip outlet.
Divorce rumours
As previously reported, news broke last week that Kyle Richards and Mauricio Umansky are “separated” and are splitting after 27 years of marriage.
Kyle and Mauricio have since distanced themselves from a PEOPLE report detailing their separation, posting identical statements to Instagram that don’t deny they are separating but instead deny accusations the two are divorcing imminently.
“In regards to the news that came out about us today… Any claims regarding us divorcing are untrue,” the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills and Buying Beverly Hills stars said in a statement posted to each of their Instagram pages. “However, yes, we have had a rough year. The most challenging one of our marriage. But we both love and respect each other tremendously.”
“There has been no wrongdoing on anyone’s part,” they continued, referencing the various cheating rumours Bravo fans have heard in the last few days. “Although we are in the public eye, we ask to be able to work through our issues privately. While it may be entertaining to speculate, please do not create false stories to fit a further salacious narrative.”
While Kyle has been connected to singer Morgan Wade online (TV Deets even posted an exclusive pic of the singer at BravoCon back in October 2022), Kyle has denied there is any romantic relationship between the two but with the drama heating up, Bravo predictably wants to get in on things.
According to a recent report, filming on RHOBH Season 13 has resumed in order to catch the aftermath of Kyle Richards’ split from Mauricio Umansky.
Insiders tell TMZ exclusively that cameras have picked back up filming on RHOBH Season 13. “Sources connected to the reality series tell TMZ the crew is going back to film more of season 13, and the ladies will begin shooting this week,” reads a report from the gossip outlet. “It’s unclear how long the women will be back in front of the camera for, but we’re told it won’t be a terribly long shoot schedule … the main goal is to get the fallout and talking points around the breakup.”
As previously reported, initial production on RHOBH Season 13 wrapped a few months ago with Kyle Richards, Sutton Stracke, Garcelle Beauvais, Dorit Kemsley, Crystal Kung Minkoff, Erika Jayne, being joined by new Housewife Annemarie Wiley. Mauricio, for his part, has been busy filming Season 2 of his Netflix real estate reality series Buying Beverly Hills.
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills will return with Season 13 later this year.
