Captain Lee Rosbach has addressed his exit from Bravo’s Below Deck franchise for the first time.
In a new interview with OK! Magazine, Captain Lee dished on his final season of Below Deck, the just-wrapped Season 10.
“I’m not sure it’s all that far behind me yet,” he told the magazine, revealing that he has other projects in the works with Bravo. “I’ll be working with them on some other projects, so it’s almost like nothing really changed.”
Since launching back in back in 2013, Below Deck has grown into one of Bravo’s most important franchises, regularly bringing in the ratings and spawning multiple spinoff shows.
“That’s what’s really mind blowing because when you first start, especially with doing something that nobody has ever done before — like filming on a moving boat — it’s kind of scary,” Captain Lee admitted to OK!.
“You don’t know how it’s going to be received or how it’s going to go,” he explained. “I don’t think anybody expected it to be received as well as it was. And then when it did, the whole thing just exploded in a good way.”
Captain Lee exits Below Deck
As previously reported, Captain Lee was not asked back for Below Deck Season 11. TV Deets was first to report the news of Lee’s exit — and the fact that Bravo has replaced him with Below Deck Adventure’s Captain Kerry Titheradge. The network later said goodbye to Lee in a special episode of Watch What Happens Live, something TV Deets was also first to report.
Below Deck Sailing Yacht airs Mondays at 8|7c on Bravo while the main Below Deck show is expected to return later this year.
