Bravo Cancels ‘The Real Housewives Of Dubai’ After Two Seasons

DubaiIntro

Bravo has decided to cancel The Real Housewives of Dubai after two bumpy seasons.

While fans have speculated about the future of RHODubai ever since the Season 2 reunion wrapped up in September, this is the first time we are hearing official news and unfortunately, it’s not good.

“The cast was told a couple days ago,” insiders tell Us Weekly. Bravo has declined to comment, according to the report.

Low Ratings, Low Engagement

While Bravo has not yet provided a reason for canceling The Real Housewives of Dubai, insiders have been telling TV Deets for months that the network just isn’t all that into RHODubai due to a mix of low ratings and overall low viewer engagement.

While Season 1 earned an average 0.16 in the all-important P18-49 demo and almost 600,000 live viewers an episode, Season 2 dipped quite a bit to an average of 0.07 and 291,000 live viewers. Click Here for more Real Housewives of Dubai ratings.

In addition to low ratings, the show reportedly suffered from a lack of overall viewer engagement.

Views on Peacock allegedly weren’t that high and while some fans did appear to be really into the season, it was clear it was just a small portion of Bravo’s overall audience considering other cities — like The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City — are performing better in both live viewers and streaming numbers.

Low ratings and an increasing budget make for a tough environment for a renewal.

Two Seasons

The Real Housewives of Dubai was first announced in late 2021 before premiering in June 2022. Season 1 starred Chanel Ayan, Sara Al Madani, Caroline Brooks, Lesa Milan, Nina Ali and Caroline Stanbury with Nina exiting the series after the first batch of episodes.

While the series was renewed in 2023, Season 2 did not premiere until 2024. Taleen Marie, who was introduced to the group through Caroline Brooks, joined as a full-time Housewife and Saba Youssef was brought in as an official Friend of via Sara Al Madani.

While the Us Weekly report refers to the term “on pause” in describing the show’s status, Bravo fans in the know mean that the show is cancelled and has little chance of returning in the future.
