Anila Sajja and Contessa Metcalfe have confirmed their respective exits from Married To Medicine ahead of Season 10, paving way for Phaedra Parks.
Yesterday (March 7), Queens of Bravo reported that both Anila and Contessa would be leaving Married2Med with former Real Housewives of Atlanta star Phaedra Parks set to join the cast and according to new reports, that seems to in fact be the case.
lovebscott.com has exclusive statements from both stars, confirming their departures.
“I decided to quit after last season,” Contessa tells B. Scott, suggesting the move was her call. “I needed a break because it wasn’t highlighting me as a [doctor] or as a mom…Plus it’s been 5 years! I’m sick of cussing and crying.”
Anila, for her part, released a much longer statement to the gossip outlet. Read it in full, below.
“There are three sides to a story: somewhere between their story and mine is the TRUTH. The truth is – only half of the rumors are true. I won’t be on the upcoming season of Married to Medicine but I won’t be gone for long… I have been working on some projects that will give me the FULL opportunity to continue to share my life journey, family, and my Indian culture. My “story” continues whether it is filmed or not.

The news of Anila and Contessa‘s exits from Married To Medicine come as Phaedra Parks, who has now appeared on The Real Housewives of Atlanta, The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip, and The Real Housewives of Dubai, is set to be joining the cast. She is reported to be dating a doctor, explaining her connection to the Atlanta-based show.
In addition to Phaedra, Season 10 is set to star returning cast members Simone Whitmore, Jackie Walters, Heavenly Kimes, Toya Bush-Harris, and Quad Webb.
Married To Medicine will return to Bravo in late 2023.
