Andy Cohen has confirmed that Denise Richards is leaving RHOBH, adding that Bravo and the actress simply couldn’t come to an agreement on Season 11.
In an interview with PEOPLE, Andy revealed that he is upset that Denise is leaving The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills and confirms that both he and Bravo wanted her back for another season.
“I’m just upset we couldn’t reach an agreement for next season,” he said when asked to first compliment Denise before adding something shady. “I’m kind of living in that sadness.”
“We were negotiating a deal with her and we couldn’t reach an agreement on the deal,” he continued, adding that the drama with Brandi Glanville definitely had an impact on Denise’s decision.
“She’s answering her truth. Listen, she has a family and kids. So, I mean, whatever happened or didn’t happen, I would imagine that it’s something that she didn’t really care to discuss on a television show.”
As previously reported, Denise Richards announced just days ago that she is leaving RHOBH after just two seasons. She now becomes one of the few Real Housewives to actually walk away from the franchise and not be given the pink slip by Bravo.
This past season certainly wasn’t easy for the actress, as Lisa Rinna, Erika Girardi, Kyle Richards, and Teddi Mellencamp all seemed to turn on her after Brandi revealed that she had allegedly had a sexual relationship with the Wild Things star.
Despite Brandi Glanville being a proven liar, the women seemed to believe her over Denise and on both Part 1 and Part 2 of the RHOBH reunion, Denise seems completely over the manufactured drama. While Andy Cohen seemed to be on #TeamBrandi at the reunion, these recent remarks do seem to indicate that he would have preferred Denise to stay.
Hopefully, leaving the show allows her to focus on her family, her acting career, and the positive things in her life as RHOBH just isn’t a welcoming environment any more.
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills will return in 2021.
