RHOSLC’s Jen Shah has pleaded guilty to federal fraud charges and faces up to 14 years in prison, according to breaking reports.
According to NBC News Connecticut, Shah snuck into court earlier today (July 11) and plead guilty to the charges ahead of her looming trial, which was supposed to start in just a few days on July 18, 2022. In addition to facing up to 14 years in prison, reports state that the reality star will also face millions of dollars in possible fines and restitution.
As the report points out, the New York Police Department believes that Jen Shah had “hundreds” of victims and that the alleged scam ran for at least 9 years, starting in 2012 and leading to her arrest in March 2021.
Jen Shah has already completed filming on The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City, which is supposed to air on Bravo sometime this fall and will reportedly document the events leading up to her guilty plea. Lisa Barlow, Whitney Rose, Heather Gay, and Meredith Marks are also returning for Season 3 of the Bravo hit alongside a few new (and yet to be officially unveiled) faces.
This is a developing story. We’ll keep you posted…
