RHOM star Guerdy Abraira has revealed that she has been diagnosed with breast cancer.
Taking to Instagram earlier this morning (Wednesday, May 10), The Real Housewives of Miami star explained that she received the news after going for a regular mammogram checkup.
“In March, I found out some news about my health. I was in St. Barts having the time of my life when my doctor called me with results following a regular mammogram checkup,” she shared. “I have breast cancer.”
“It took me a while to process it all and this is why I took a break from social media last month as many noticed,” she continued. “Many of you reached out to check on me and I am thankful for your caring gestures. For now I am preparing for my upcoming surgery and then will come my treatment plan. This process is definitely intense and what I ask of you is empowerment not pity.”
“I will ‘guerdyfy’ this cancer as I guerdyfy everything else in my life,” she said. “I am lucky that this breast cancer was discovered at an early stage – it is still scary of course, but I have love and support from those around me and that alone is the fuel that I need. For those who do not get health checks regularly, I urge you to. Your life depends on it.”
The news comes just days after Guerdy was spotted crying at dinner as the women filmed a group scene for Season 6 of RHOM.
Unfortunately, Guerdy Abraira isn’t the only RHOM star dealing with cancer at the moment. As previously reported, Martina Navratilova (wife of Housewife Julia Lemigova) has revealed she has been dealing with two different types of cancer in recent months, although she is now in remediation.

As previously announced, The Real Housewives of Miami, also known as RHOM, is currently in production on Season 6 and will be switching from Peacock to Bravo when it returns later this year.
