RHOC star Shannon Beador was arrested for DUI and a hit-and-run over the weekend after she drove into a house, according to a shocking new report.
Sources tell TMZ that The Real Housewives of Orange County star was arrested on Saturday night (September 16) after driving onto a residential property in Newport Beach and clipping the house. The hit-and-run part comes in after it was reported the RHOC star turned her car back onto the road and kept going before parking the vehicle and letting out her dog, Archie.
“Our sources say she tried to act like she was taking a walk when police arrived after receiving a 911 call,” reads the shocking TMZ report. “We’re told she wasn’t fooling anyone … as she appeared wasted and was taken into custody.”
According to the gossip outlet, Shannon was booked for 2 misdemeanors: hit-and-run and DUI alcohol. She was reportedly released without bond and hasn’t responded to requests for comments.
The news of Shannon Beador’s arrest comes months after she first revealed her breakup from boyfriend John Jansen and the couple’s issues are currently playing out on Season 17 of RHOC. Additionally, Shannon was allegedly kicked out of a bar last month after having a drunken argument with Janssen’s daughter, although she denied details of the story on Watch What Happens Live.
UPDATE 9/18 2pm ET: Shannon Beador’s lawyer Michael Fell has released a statement to TMZ following his client’s arrest:
“I spent quite a bit of time with Shannon yesterday. She is extremely apologetic and remorseful. We will be awaiting the official information on this case as it becomes available, and Shannon is prepared to accept full responsibility for her actions.”
