RHOBH fans are split after Erika Jayne was seen meeting with some of Tom Girardi’s alleged victims over the weekend.
Page Six was first to reveal that The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star had met with “multiple individuals” who her ex, the now-infamous lawyer Tom Girardi, allegedly cheated out of settlement money.
“I came here with an open heart to listen to what’s going on, hear what happened and figure out how to be a part of how to move forward together in a way that’s beneficial for all victims,” Erika Jayne told the gossip outlet, who were conveniently present for the meeting.
According to the article, Erika was spotted arriving at the Valley Inn Restaurant in Los Angeles on July 16 for a Paul’s Ice Cream event, a company founded by Kathy Ruigomez and Kimberly Archie with Archie being a former employee of Tom’s law firm, Girardi Keese. (Ruigomez, for her part, is the mother of burn victim Joseph Ruigomez who allegedly had his settlement money stolen by Girardi.)
In an interesting tidbit, the gossip outlet reveals that Erika was seen filming a sit-down interview with The Los Angeles Times but it is not yet clear what the interview will be used for or if this was filming for RHOBH season 13, which has recently picked up cameras due to Kyle Richards and Mauricio Umansky’s reported marriage troubles. “They looked very serious but engaged during their discussion,” an eyewitness told Page Six.
RHOBH Fans Split After Erika Jayne Meets With Tom Girardi’s Alleged Victims
While it is truly great to see Erika communicating with some of Tom’s alleged victims, the move seemingly has RHOBH fans split due to the fact that it was a public event with multiple Bravo influencers also present.
“Interesting when she said she wasn’t even sure there were any victims. This is nothing but a piece to make her look good,” tweeted one fan. “She still didn’t care about them when she refused to give all her stuff back purchased with their money. Not impressed.”
“It took her an awful long time to open that heart. Did she wear the contested earrings?” posted another fan, referencing the infamous $750,000 diamond earrings the RHOBH star reportedly refused to hand over during her legal issues.
“Everyone is saying good for her. Why Is everyone so gullible?” posted another RHOBH viewer, adding, “It’s a photo op.”
Not everyone thought there was something shady about Erika’s meeting with Tom’s alleged victims, however, as some fans also expressed that it was refreshing to see the RHOBH star take some accountability after years of saying very little on the issue.
“Just when I was starting to like Villain Erika, she goes and does this! Smh. Lol I’m kidding! Honestly, my gripe with her was that she never showed compassion towards the victims,” tweeted another RHOBH viewer. “So, this is nice to see. Hopefully, it all came from a genuine place.”
“What I love about Erika (and any good housewife) is that they show their journey. She is growth personified. You can attack her all you want for this but at the end of the day, it’s a good thing,” posted another.
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills will return to Bravo with Season 13 later this year.
