Vanderpump Rules brought in the numbers with its Secrets Revealed episode while RHOC Season 17 suffered a massive drop in the live ratings with Episode 2, according to just-released stats.
Episode 2 of the new season earned a decent 0.23 share in the all-important P18-49 demo and just 788,000 live viewers according to Nielsen, a notable drop from last week’s Season 17 premiere (0.38 / 1,032,000).

While down notably from the week prior, it was still enough for the long-running Bravo series to claim the number 4 spot on all of cable. The season features the highly-anticipated return of Tamra Judge after a two season break.
It was a different story for Vanderpump Rules, which earned a strong 0.41 share and 1,134,000 live viewers in the ratings with its Secrets Revealed episode. While the series is still benefiting from the Scandoval effect, these are impressive ratings for an episode that features content originally cut from the main batch of episodes.

When RHOC Season 17 debuted to stellar live ratings just last week, some fans pointed out that it could be due to the overall hysteria surrounding Vanderpump Rules, despite The Real Housewives of Orange County airing one hour later and not having the RHOBH spinoff as a lead-in.
While there may be some truth to that, it is interesting that viewers still tuned in for the Secrets Revealed episode of Vanderpump Rules this week, meaning they may not have enjoyed the RHOC premiere as much as was thought initially. Only time will tell if this is a fluke or part of a larger trend moving forward.
In addition to returning vet Tamra, RHOC Season 17 stars Heather Dubrow, Gina Kirschenheiter, Emily Simpson, Shannon Beador and Jennifer Pedranti, with Taylor Armstrong appearing as an official Friend of the Housewives.
