Jersey Shore Family Vacation returned with strong live ratings, according to just-released numbers.
According to Deadline, MTV is reporting that the Jersey Shore Family Vacation Season 6B premiere—which featured original cast member Sammi “Sweetheart” Giancola” appearing on the spinoff for the first time—earned a 0.30 in the P18-49 demo.
The episode drove MTV’s highest Thursday night primetime ratings share in more than two years, according to the Deadline report, and this is also the best ratings share for Jersey Shore Family Vacation in more than four years.
While the network did not reveal the total viewers, that information will be released later this week.
As the outlet indicates, the Season 6B premiere episode ratings’s share was up 21% in the live ratings vs. the Season 6A premiere, according to Paramount Global. That episode earned a 0.26 share and 507,000 live viewers in January, giving us some type of indication as to where the Season 6B viewer number will end up.
The Season 6B premiere was also up over the Season 6A finale, which scored a 0.22 and 421,000 live viewers back in May. It also rated higher than both parts of the Season 6A reunion. Clearly, MTV made the right move by convincing Sammi to come back.
In addition to Sammi, the longtime reality series stars Pauly D, Mike Sorrentino, Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi, Jenni “JWoww” McFarley, Vinny Guadagnino and Angelina Pivarnick.
#JSFamilyVacation airs Thursdays on MTV.
