RuPaul’s Drag Race returned up on VH1, with the Season 13 premiere narrowly leading the reality TV ratings on Friday, January 1, 2021.
The twisty first episode of Drag Race, which saw the queens face off in multiple lip syncs before even meeting RuPaul, earned a 0.24 in the demo and 561,000 viewers, up over Season 12’s 0.20 and 504,000 viewers.
According to Deadline, VH1 is calling this the highest-rated episode in the Drafter multiple cross-network airings. Untucked generated a 0.15 and 381,000 viewers.
Over on WE tv, Love After Lockup scored a 0.23 and 630,000 viewers, while a first look at this Sunday’s 90 Day Fiance rounded out the top 3, earning a 0.19 and 758,000 viewers on TLC.
