Producers Considering Kandi, Kenya, And Shereé For Revamped ‘RHOA’ Season 16: Report

Producers are considering Kandi Burruss Tucker, Kenya Moore, and Shereé Whitfield for a revamped RHOA season 16, according to a new report.

According to a new report from The Jasmine BRAND, producers are keen on keeping some familiarity with the cast despite reports suggesting a full reboot has already been given the greenlight:

This week a report from LoveBScott claimed that production will replace the entire main cast of the series. Insiders close to the Bravo show have confirmed with theJasmineBRAND exclusively that viewers can expect to see new faces next season, however, some of the current Atlanta ladies will be returning as well. Producers will likely keep two to three current housewives & recast the remaining slots with new women. It’s speculated that Kenya Moore, Kandi Burruss, and possibly Shereé Whitfield will be offered contracts for RHOA season 16.

While some reports have suggest Bravo is interested in adding well-known celebrities to the cast, insiders are telling The Jasmine BRAND that isn’t possible and there’s a good reason why.

Here’s what the report says:

As far as the new peach holders go, sources tell us that viewers shouldn’t expect to see any well-known celebrities, and instead, production will use the opportunity to introduce new socialites to the world. Allegedly, this is because the series doesn’t have the budget to cover big-name Atlanta-based stars.

Bravo denies RHOA reboot reports

As previously reported on TVDeets.com, Bravo has denied reports of a full RHOA reboot.

“Nothing official has been decided,” a network source told Page Six, blaming the reports on “fan feedback” that has suggested some viewers would like to see a change ahead of Season 16.

While the network is reportedly casting new women (as they always do towards the end of a season), Page Six is also reporting that they haven’t been able to find reboot-worthy cast members.

“They haven’t found any famous people of note that want to be on the reboot, and if they can’t find any famous people that want to be on the show, then they can’t reboot the entire show,” the network insider insider alleged.

A separate, second source also denied the reboot rumours to Entertainment Tonight: “A second source, however, tells ET no decisions have been made and likely won’t be made until after the reunion airs.”

While many news outlets are crediting Love B. Scott with the reboot news, we exclusively shared on the August 18th episode of the TV Deets Podcast that Bravo was considering a RHONY-style reboot for The Real Housewives of Atlanta.

While it is clear Bravo is looking at doing something with the RHOA cast, it is also clear that reports the entire current line up has been let go are false.

Part 1 of The Real Housewives of Atlanta Season 15 reunion airs next Sunday, September 3 at 8|7c on Bravo.
