RHOP star Mia Thornton’s estranged husband Gordon was reportedly “blindsided” by their separation, according to new reports.
Sources close to Gordon tell TMZ that he was served with court documents on Mia’s behalf in “mid-August” which signalled her desire to separate legally. According to the gossip outlet’s sources, the move “completely blindsided” Gordon.
According to TMZ, Gordon is allegedly pissed off at how The Real Housewives of Potomac star is handling their separation and feels like she is “BSing everyone.”
RHOP’s Gordon And Mia Thornton Have Been Separated “For Months”
TV Deets was first to tell you exclusively that Mia and her estranged husband Gordon Thornton have been separated “for months” and are moving towards divorce.
“Mia Thornton and her husband Gordon have been separated for months,” host Brett Staffen said on the Friday, September 29 episode of the TV Deets Podcast. “This is not a new separation, they have been separated for months and are, in essence, living separate lives.”
“I’m told their separation is amicable,” he continued. “Gordon doesn’t necessarily want his marriage to end… I don’t know if Gordon is going to be able to prevent that from happening but it is amicable in the sense that Gordon wants to make it work and Gordon wants to get along with Mia.”
While Gordon is alleging in the media that he was blindsided by the separation, that can’t be true as he was seen in the RHOP Season 8 trailer attending couples counselling with Mia and sources tell TV Deets exclusively that it was actually Gordon that revealed the separation news to the rest of the cast.
TV Deets actually teased Mia and Gordon’s separation on the September 22 episode of the TV Deets Podcast, revealing that there was something in the trailer that was kept private from the other Housewives and we can now reveal that was Mia’s “divorce” comment.
