Real Housewives of New Jersey stars Melissa and Joe Gorga are “laughing off” rumours the former cheated with actor Nick Barrotta, according to sources close to the couple.
“They’re laughing about it,” a source told Page Six exclusively about rumours Melissa cheated with Nick, calling them “ridiculous.”
“[They’ve] all been friends for years,” added the insider, pointing out that the couples have hung out as a foursome with Nick’s longtime girlfriend. The actor is most well-known from his appearances on Tyler Perry’s The Oval.
The cheating rumours are reportedly at the centre of the Gorga and Giudice family feud, with insiders revealing that Jennifer Aydin helped to bring the rumours to the cast’s attention during filming for the recently-wrapped Season 13. According to Page Six, a source “close to production” told the outlet that the cheating rumour “does come up” on the new season of RHONJ and that Jennifer is the one who revealed the news on camera, not Teresa, as was initially suspected.
All hell has broken loose among the RHONJ cast, with Melissa and Joe skipping Teresa Giudice’s weekend wedding to Luis “Louie” Ruelas in East Brunswick, New Jersey and now, we’re starting to hear more and more about what has reportedly caused the rift between the reality families.
Things came to a head during the recent taping for the finale, according to PEOPLE and is the reason Melissas and Joe ended up skipping the wedding. According to the magazine, the two had planned on attending the wedding up until the finale taping, where the cheating rumours were brought up.
“Teresa’s part in the matter and Luis’s behavior amid their back and forth ultimately changed the Gorgas’ minds [about attending the wedding],” reads the report.
With so many shocking reports coming out about the scandal on an almost daily basis and RHONJ Season 13 still months away, we’re sure there is going to be more revelations about Teresa Giudice’s big day in the coming weeks.
The Real Housewives of New Jersey is expected to return in early 2023.
