Jill Zarin explained why RHONY Legacy isn’t happening in a new interview with Jeff Lewis, also hinting at how Bravo could get Bethenny Frankel on board.

Appearing on Jeff Lewis’ Radio Andy SiriusXM show, Jill confirmed that the rumoured RHONY Legacy spinoff is in fact not happening but denies recent reports that it was due to diva behaviour on her part.

“All I cared about was ‘favoured nations,'” she told Jeff, comparing the cast of RHONY to Friends when they infamously banded together to demand the same salary from NBC. “I just wanted everyone to get paid the same, I thought we were all doing the same, in fact — I cast the show.”

“I brought on Bethenny, I brought on LuAnn, I brought on Ramona so for nothing else, I should definitely get paid the same as everyone else or I’m not doing it,” she dished, clarifying that it was not because she wanted more money but that she wanted what the other OGs had been offered.

Despite the confirmation that RHONY Legacy is officially on pause, Jill Zarin revealed that there is one way Bravo could have gotten Bethenny Frankel to do the show in the first place.

“I think it should be done as Ultimate Girls Trip, I think it should be like a two week trip where the girls go together, I even think they could reach out to some people that they think wouldn’t come on because for a week or two and a good paycheque, I think they would come on,” she said. “I’m not naming names,” she added, before mouthing Bethenny’s name.

As previously reported, Bravo had split RHONY into two shows, Season 14 featuring an all-new cast and Legacy, which was to feature a mix of former and current cast members. While Legacy is on pause, there is no news on a premiere date for the reboot.

The Real Housewives of New York City will return to Bravo with Season 14 this summer.
