Jen Shah Will Not Attend ‘RHOSLC’ Season 3 Reunion, Claims Bravo Is Only Interested In Her Legal Situation

The troubled Real Housewife says she was left off of the original invite list before being asked to attend just two weeks ago.

Jen Shah will not attend the RHOSLC Season 3 reunion after Bravo left her off the original invite list, revealing that the network, in her eyes, only wants her to talk about her legal situation.

The troubled Real Housewives of Salt Lake City cast member took to Instagram earlier this morning (Friday, December 16) to share her thoughts on the RHOSLC reunion taping and reveal why she would not be attending. (The cast is taping the reunion in New York City right now.)

“On September 14, 2022, I was informed by Bravo executives that I was not invited to attend the Season 3 Reunion,” she shared. “I was disappointed because I would have no venue to confront inaccuracies and address my storyline with cast members.”

“Out of nowhere, on November 29, two and a half weeks ago, I was invited to attend. I was elated to learn I would now have a voice at reunion,” she continued, referencing the network’s supposed switch-up. “I was clear with Bravo that out of respect for the courts and a standing judicial order, I would not be in a position to discuss anything related to my legal case.”

She explained, “Bravo found this unsatisfactory and said they expected to discuss this ‘storyline.’ That expectation has no regard for me or my family’s well-being; so under legal advice, I will not be attending reunion. I need to focus on the most important thing in my life-my family.”

As previously reported, Jen Shah not attending the RHOSLC Season 3 reunion should not come as a surprise. Back in October, Andy Cohen revealed at BravoCon that the network was basically done with Jen after she lied about her legal situation, claiming her innocence while filming the show before pleading guilty after the cameras went down. (He made those comments before Jen allegedly crashed the official BravoCon after party despite not being invited to attend.)

Upcoming sentencing

There is another reason Jen Shah may not be at the RHOSLC reunion taping, however. According to documents obtained by Page Six, an attorney for The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City standout made a request to delay her sentencing a few weeks ago and that request was approved.

On Wednesday (November 23), Priya Chaudhry, who is Shah’s attorney, filed the request and it was approved shortly after by Judge Sidney H. Stein. Her sentencing is now set for January 6, 2023, at 2:30 p.m. ET. While Chaudhry did not respond to Page Six’s request for comment, Jen Shah’s sentencing date has been moved quite a few times. The RHOSLC star was originally set to be sentenced on November 18 but it was pushed to December 15 after U.S. attorney Damian Williams requested the change due to a “scheduling conflict on the part of several members of the Government team.”

Jen faces up to 14 years in prison for her participation in what the U.S. Government is referring to as a fraud scheme so it could be that she is worried about how she will come off at the reunion impacting her sentencing.

Federal fraud charges

According to NBC News Connecticut, Shah plead guilty on July 11, 2022 to the charges ahead of her looming trial, which was supposed to start on July 18, 2022. In addition to facing up to 14 years in prison, reports state that the reality star will also face millions of dollars in possible fines and restitution.

The New York Police Department, who investigated the fraud claims against Jen, believes that she had “hundreds” of victims and that the alleged telemarketing scam ran for at least 9 years, starting in 2012 and leading to her arrest in March 2021.

While Jen will not be at the reunion, the rest of the cast including Meredith Marks, Whitney Rose, Heather Gay, and Lisa Barlow will be there with Friends of the Housewives Angie Harrington, Angie Katsanevas, and Danna Bui-Negrete also expected.

The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City airs Wednesdays on Bravo.
