One cast member has revealed they were unable to attend the taping.
Bravo announced that the crew of My Seanna recently taped a virtual reunion to recap Below Deck Season 8 but one cast member has revealed that they will be missing in action when the special debuts next month.
Rob Phillips, who joined the cast midseason, took to Instagram just yesterday (January 29) to reveal that due to some weather-related technical issues he was unable to attend.
“There was an attempt, hiding behind a palm tree with a satellite phone to call into the #BelowDeck reunion,” he captioned the photo below. “As we board up for the second cyclone of the season you already have to choose what side of town you’re on. Rivers are flooded, bridges are being shut and the network is up and down. The kids who have to cross rivers every day to get to school and the markets have been swimming across muddy rapids since the last Cyclone.”
“You were missed”, commented Below Deck cast member Eddie Lucas, confirming that Rob did in fact miss the taping.
Bravo has announced that Andy Cohen and the cast of Below Deck Season 8 recently taped a virtual reunion special.
While it isn’t normal for Bravolebrities to skip reunions, Rob’s reasoning clearly makes sense but it is unfortunate for fans that we won’t be able to hear his take on the season.
As previously reported, the network has confirmed that the rest of the cast will participate in the reunion, which was taped virtually due to the COVID-19 pandemic and is expected to debut at the end of February, beginning of March, ahead of the Below Deck Sailing Yacht Season 2 premiere.
The rest of the cast, including Captain Lee Rosbach, Eddie Lucas, Francesca Rubi, Rachel Hargrove, Elizabeth Frankini, Izzy Wouters, James Hough, Ashling Lorger, and Shane Coopersmith, are all rumoured to have attended. As of right now, no airdate for the reunion has been announced.
Below Deck airs Mondays on Bravo.
