Andy Cohen is doing it all. Not only is he hosting Watch What Happens Live five nights a week for Bravo, the reality boss oversees the network’s Real Housewives franchise in between finding time to helm Radio Andy and write his new book, The Daddy Diaries: The Year I Grew Up. (Oh, and he is also the father to two young children, as well!)
In between gigs and while in Australia to celebrate World Pride, Andy Cohen found a minute to have a quick Q&A with TV Deets — courtesy of our friends at Hayu Canada — where he dished on his dream Watch What Happens Live guest, how RHOA and RHOP have found the key to making an entertaining reunion, and suggested Chrissy Teigen be the next big name celebrity to join The Real Housewives franchise.
Who is your dream Watch What Happens Live guest for 2023?

Fans have loved the introduction of The Real Housewives of Dubai. What are some of the things you look for in a new city?
The locations are pretty much cities that have their own real personality and energy. The interesting thing is the first format of the show was built around a group of friends, but the friends in each city are so different, in a weird way, because they are very much representative of the place that they live. So, I think that’s what sets each franchise apart.
Which recent reunion taping was your favourite to film?
I really don’t have a favourite. There are 10 Real Housewives franchises right now (from Bravo US), believe it or not, and I am Executive Producer of all of them, and they all give me something different. But I will say The Real Housewives of Potomac and Atlanta have two of the funniest casts, and I love to laugh. So, it’s fun when you’re sitting there all day – they often take up to 12 hours to shoot – so it’s fun when you can chuckle throughout the day.
If you could bring one former Housewife back to the franchise, who would it be?
We’ve had some great Housewives depart and then return to the show just look at Heather Dubrow and Tamra Judge from The Real Housewives of Orange County. If you asked me to suggest a new housewife entirely, and Kyle Richards said the same thing recently, I would have to say Chrissy Teigen. I just don’t think she’s quite there yet.
