Bravo New Zealand has ordered a new docuseries called Snow Crew.
According to a report from Deadline, the new show was filmed in the Coronet Peak and The Remarkables ski area near Queenstown, New Zealand over the Winter 2022 season — which covers June to September — and will follow a “young, charismatic” crew.
“The action follows the crew as the manage the 6,000 people on each mountain each day of the season, as blizzards close roads and strand guests overnight on the peaks, a missing persons alert activates a mountain-wide search and thousands more arrive for a music festival,” reads a description.
According to the report, the cast of the show hail from New Zealand, Australia, Canada and the UK, and work under boss Nigel.
While the new show is set to air exclusively on Bravo New Zealand, the report indicates that the production company is looking to sell the series internationally and is in discussions with buyers so it’s possible that U.S. viewers may be able to watch it. The series is expected to be made available on NBCU-owned Hayu in international markets like Canada and the U.K., however.
Bravo New Zealand is the country’s local version of the American network and is perhaps best known for The Real Housewives of Auckland which aired for one season back in 2016.
The new series sounds somewhat similar to Après Ski, a series that the U.S. version of Bravo aired for one season back in 2015. That show followed the personal and professional lives of a group of people working at a luxurious concierge company in Whistler, British Columbia, one of Canada’s most famous winter destinations, and had similarities itself to Below Deck, another Bravo franchise.
Snow Crew is from Wonder Street and Stripe Studios and will premiere on Bravo New Zealand later this year.
