Former Real Housewives of New York City star Bethenny Frankel has landed a new podcast where she will rewatch past episodes of the shows and add her commentary, according to new reports.
The podcast, which is cleverly called Rewives, is produced by iHeartMedia and the first episode drops November 14.
In an interview with PEOPLE, Bethenny denied that her new podcast will rehash any of the drama, however.
“We don’t delve into that territory,” she says. “I wanted to do a rewatch podcast, but I didn’t want to do something derivative. I didn’t just want to rewatch a show, scene by scene. So I thought ‘How could I do this in an interesting way?’ — not just having another Housewife talk about it to me like others do, but instead delving deeper. So it’s really about the real dynamics that are going on underneath, which I find to me more interesting anyway, and not the low-hanging fruit trash that others take away from it.”
Critical of other Housewives
The podcast move comes after Bethenny quit RHONY the night before she was supposed to start filming Season 12. In the premiere episode of that season, the cast including Ramona Singer, Luann de Lesseps, Sonja Morgan, and Tinsley Mortimer all reacted to the longtime reality star’s decision to exit the series once again.
As noted by PEOPLE, Bethenny has been critical of other Real Housewives who have made similar choices in the past. Previously, she has not been a fan of projects that look back on the show, explaining they focus on “women trashing women” and are only about “capitalizing on our weaknesses.”
Launching a Housewives-focused podcast might be a move that surprises fans of Frankel, who will surely recall that she has been vocal about her desire to not return to the show since walking away from it, saying that it’s “devolved.”

It is possible that Bethenny could be falling in the footsteps of another former Real Housewife, Tamra Judge. The former RHOC star launched a Real Housewives recap podcast with The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Teddi Mellencamp prior to rejoining the series for Season 17.
