Below Deck alum Kate Chastain is pregnant and expecting her first child, according to a new report.
The longtime Bravo star is due in May 2023, PEOPLE reveals exclusively. Kate confirmed the news in a statement as well as sharing a photo of her baby bump to Instagram earlier this morning (Tuesday, December 13).
“I am absolutely thrilled to become a mother,” she tells the magazine. “It’s something I’ve always hoped for so this is truly a dream come true!”
Opening up about her decision to share the exciting news that she is pregnant now, Kate Chastain reveals that it has something to do with her very busy upcoming schedule: “This is such a new and special experience, so I’m really being protective of what I share publicly, but with new episodes of Below Deck Galley Talk about to air on Bravo after Christmas and The Traitors premiering on Peacock on Jan. 12, 2023, there’s just no hiding my baby bump any longer!”
Kate has not revealed any additional details surrounding her pregnancy.
As longtime fans of Below Deck are aware, Kate Chastain joined the show back in Season 2 and quickly became a duo alongside Captain Lee Rosbach before exiting the series after Season 7. She has previously hosted Bravo’s Chat Room and appears on Below Deck Galley Talk, and will star in the upcoming Peacock series The Traitors which is set to hit the streaming service on January 12.
